About Crimson

Welcome to Crimson, a Warhammer Online guild on the Karak-Norn (EU) server.

Our army strives to become an elite vanguard of Order's forces, at the forefront of WAR's RvR and PvE challenges alike. Wherever we commit ourselves in open RvR, we seek to help push the Order campaign using our own tactics, setups and ventrilo-coordinated roaming groups, as well as running daily scenario premades to put our latest plans into practice. We’re no less active in PvE progression, boasting 4 full-clear Vulture Lord groups and regularly farming the Eternal Citadel with our guild warband.

We are a tightly-knit team of seasoned, friendly gamers who love the thrill of tactical challenges and hard-earned victories almost as much as the jovial banter that surrounds it. As experienced players with years together at the top of World of Warcraft raiding, we appreciate the need for mutual trust and cooperation, not just within the guild but with the other Order forces of Karak-Norn. Crimson is a family, many years in the making, and we look forward to welcoming more to the fold.

Patch 1.3.6: The end of bombing, really?

by Sidrath, 7 days ago

Patch 1.3.6 has landed, and with it a myriad of nerfs to bombing tactics. Nerfs to damage output and debuffing, widespread morale draining and a significant boost to survivability and healing mean fights last longer and require much tighter coordination to stand a chance outnumbered. Whether the bombing nerf was intended to encourage single-target heroism or realmwide cooperation (often tantamount to zerging) is unclear - regardless, it has indeed rendered warband v organised zerg combat much more challenging. Some even suggest these may be the final days of bombing, of fighting effectively against all odds.

Respectfully, we disagree. Happy

Crimson RvR: Flying Stag is Broken!

by Sidrath, 20 days ago

Warm greetings to our latest recruits, who've all integrated admirably over the past several weeks! With patch 1.3.6 only days away, we've further polished our RvR technique, focusing now on the little details. This latest refinement delves into the unknown territory of Swordmaster power with the awe-inspiring Attack of the Flying Stag. This speshul strategy took wise Master Finreal decades to perfect and - allegedly - makes an appearance in Ang Lee's upcoming sequel "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Flying Stag". Needless to say, it is only a matter of time before this realm imbalance is found out, whined about on forums and nerfed.

Without further ado, we present our latest RvR forays, courtesy of Red, in Crimson PvP 15: Flying Stag is Broken!

Crimson RvR: Crimson at its most aggressive!

by Sidrath, 79 days ago

First off, congratulations and a warm welcome to our newest Members, who've integrated brilliantly over the past month and helped take the warband to a whole new level! The road to perfecting warband play is filled with trial and error, gruelling wipes as well as epic triumphs. Enduring resilience in the face of Vent-coordinated superior numbers has been the key motto for weeks - and has paid off handsomely! With blood, sweat and thought we've continuously improved positioning and tweaked our composition, specialising roles and optimising utility usage.

Courtesy of Red, Crimson PvP 12 and 13 are vicious displays of Crimson at its best: organised aggression spearing through enemy formations just fast enough to avoid being swarmed. 2k kills in one session facing good opposition is no small feat - be proud, fight hard and foremost, endure!
